1. Choked Condenser Fins & Reduced Heat Rejection
The condenser sits right behind your front grille. Over months of highway driving, it gets coated with road grime, dried bugs, and mud. When you stop at a traffic junction in Anna Nagar or Ambattur, there is no natural airflow. The heat cannot leave the refrigerant gas, pressure spikes beyond 350 PSI, and the safety switch disengages the compressor clutch until you start moving again.
2. Weak or Single-Speed Condenser / Radiator Fan
Most modern cars (Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Toyota) use dual-speed or brushless electric fans. If the high-speed fan relay fails or the resistor burns out, the fan only spins at low speed. This is sufficient at night, but in blazing midday heat, airflow across the condenser stalls, killing cabin cooling.

The thermal expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow into the cooling coil. If moisture or debris enters the circuit, the valve sticks, starving the evaporator during high heat demand.
